Queen's Day Celebration

Every year, Holland (The Netherlands) celebrates the previous Queen’s birthday on April 30th. It started in 1885 and still today the citizens sell things in the streets, wear orange (the national color) and party to celebrate. Basically it’s a big festival. So why am i so interested? Because half of my family lives there and i’m half Dutch(if you didn’t know)! I love the Dutch culture and don’t get to visit my family enough. Today, i just thought i’d do a little celebrating with them  😉  You can find more information on the holiday here.

And this blog has a really good post about it.  Here are some more inspirations:

Happy Queen’s Day, Sweet World!
